DR. DANIEL. P STAATS

Owner, DPT, OCS, MTC, Cert. SMT, Cert DN, MSKUS, RMSK

Dr. Dan has a passion for working with the human body and understanding the nuances of movement and mechanics. He graduated from Rutgers with a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy and was awarded Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. He received his Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist Certification from the University of St. Augustine, making him one of only a few doctorally trained and certified orthopedic manual physical therapists in all of Ocean County. Dr. Dan is board certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist with certification in spinal manipulative therapy from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Dr. Dan recently passed the Musculoskeletal Exam from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, making him the only Physical Therapist in New Jersey with this distinction.

Among his many accolades and acheivements, Dr. Staats was selected to perform IsoKenetic muscle testing on top NCAA athletes bound for the NFL at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, IN in 2008. He is also an adjunct professor for Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and a clinical instructor for physical therapy students from Rutgers University, Neumen College, and Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Dr. Staats has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists for over 10 years.

On a personal note, Dr. Dan lives in Pt. Pleasant with his lovely wife and three children. He enjoys golfing, surfing, and traveling. He has traveled the world in search of the perfect wave, and works hard to help his patients ride the wave to rehabilitation.
